Uchylak is a one-man audiovisual project that has been operating on the fringes of the Wrocław electronic music scene since around 2018. It is the alter ego of Łukasz Bejnar, co-founder of the Ubocze Rec. label, a volunteer with Industrial Art, and a member of the bands Monument Zero, Galaktyka Mięsa, Skutki Uboczne, and ODERFISCH®.

Uchylak’s recordings—the self-proclaimed king of the shitwave/glitchbitch style—function as open-ended forms—balancing between trance-like states and the deconstruction of rhythm and narrative, building tension through repetition, noise, and recording glitches. The context of place plays a significant role in this work: Wrocław and its peripheral spaces become a point of reference for sonic “microworlds,” suspended between memory and fiction.
