Gwilly Edmondez is a Welsh-Slovene composer and performer based in Newcastle upon Tyne. His practice centres primarily on voice, recorded media — including samplers and tapes — and double bass. He describes his work as taking place “along the faultlines of personality”, approaching performance as a space for experimenting with voice, presence and identity.

Under the name Gustav Thomas, he forms one half of the duo YEAH YOU with Elvin Brandhi. He is also involved in numerous collaborative projects, including Impossibility Knox with Odie Ji Ghast, Edmondez/DSilva with Karl DSilva, THAT with Pat Thomas and Otto Willberg, Getting Bittern with Sam Spencer Whitbread, Unexplained Blood with Emily “Sgerbwd”, and Kleevex with Faye MacCalman. His artistic activity dates back to the early 1980s — in 1980 he co-founded the Bridgend group Radioactive Sparrow.
