Ak’Chamel is an American performance project whose concerts take the form of hallucinatory rituals and physical theatre. The artists appear in unsettling costumes, constructing a world at the intersection of desert-scorched psychedelia, post-apocalyptic shamanism and raw, lo-fi ritual folk. The visual dimension is not merely an addition, but an integral part of the music and the intense live experience.

Ak’Chamel have released around fifteen cassettes, three vinyl albums and a series of cryptic VHS videos. Their short-form videos have generated millions of views, while the project tours regularly and has performed at major festivals on both sides of the Atlantic.
