A collaborative project by Indonesian vocalist and sound artist Rully Shabara and Wrocław-based audiovisual artist Bartosz Radzikowski, combining experiments with voice, language and technology with digital imagery, synthetic light and spatial projection. Here, the voice functions as an autonomous medium — a source of primal expression, improvisation and meanings that extend beyond conventional language — while the visual layer deconstructs digital tools, using raw textures and generated elements to create a form of digital surrealism.

For more than two decades, Rully Shabara has been developing original voice-based systems. Best known as the vocalist of the duo Senyawa, he is also the creator of KHAWAGAKA, a speculative system of language, culture and belief; the XHABARABOT VOICE MACHINES digital interfaces; and the improvisation-based choral system RAUNG JAGAT. He has collaborated with artists including Keiji Haino, Stephen O’Malley, Hildur Guðnadóttir, Otomo Yoshihide and Damo Suzuki, while his voice has also appeared in films and in the video game Red Dead Redemption 2.

Bartosz Radzikowski is a graduate of Media Art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław. He creates large-scale video installations, site-specific projections and visual settings presented in galleries, clubs, theatres and opera houses. His work has been shown at venues including the Wrocław Contemporary Museum and the Four Domes Pavilion, as well as at festivals such as Kinomural, Warsaw Autumn, Musica Polonica Nova and Avant Art. In their collaborative project, sound and image do not illustrate one another, but form parallel, mutually interacting layers of the performance.
