Accessibility

Avant Art Festival takes place across multiple venues throughout the city. Each location has different infrastructure, which is why we provide accessibility information and offer simple ways to contact us and receive support on site. Our aim is to ensure independence and comfort for all participants, including people with mobility, visual or hearing impairments, neurodivergent people, and those with temporary mobility limitations.

Accessibility information

Muzeum Osiedli Mieszkaniowych — Wileńska 21, 20-603 Lublin / accessibility information:

The museum is located on the first floor of a commercial pavilion at Wileńska 21, above the shops. The entrance leads through a tailor’s shop and a hairdressing salon, opposite Bar Chochlik.

The venue is accessed by stairs. There is no lift in the building, which means that the space is not wheelchair accessible and may be difficult to access for people with limited mobility.

Anyone who needs additional information or would like to discuss possible forms of support is asked to contact the Avant Art Festival organisers in advance at info@avantart.pl.

Centrum Kultury w Lublinie — Peowiaków 12, 20-007 Lublin / accessibility information:

The building is located near public transport stops on 3 Maja, Narutowicza and Okopowa streets. Two designated accessible parking spaces are available on the Peowiaków Street side, directly in front of the square leading to the main entrance. From Plac Litewski, a smooth, obstacle-free path leads to the entrance.

It is possible to drive directly up to the entrance, but this must be arranged in advance with the building’s security staff by calling +48 81 466 61 33. The main door is 184 cm wide and opens automatically during the summer. In colder months, a system of heavier double doors is used; when one panel is open, the passage is 92 cm wide. A button for calling security assistance is located by the entrance.

The building has a lift measuring 110 × 230 cm, providing access to the upper floors. The lift is equipped with handrails and Braille markings on the buttons, but it does not have voice announcements or a mirror on the rear wall.

Accessible toilets are located on the ground floor and first floor. The main auditorium is on the ground floor and is accessed through threshold-free doors. People with limited mobility may use seats in the front row. The other main event spaces can be reached by lift, although some seating areas have a tiered layout.

A tactile map of the ground floor is available in the foyer, while an audio description of the building layout helps visitors independently locate the lift, event rooms, ticket office, toilets, gallery spaces and exits.

Free ticket for a personal assistant

If you are unable to attend events without support, we provide a free ticket for one accompanying person. Please email us at info@avantart.pl and attach the relevant disability ID or other appropriate documentation.

Seating and viewing areas

Whenever possible, we provide designated areas with improved visibility or offer early entry so that you can take a place at the side of the venue or near the barrier.

Assistance and guide dogs

Assistance and guide dogs are welcome at all venues. Please bring valid certification. Ask one of our volunteers for water for your dog — we will be happy to provide it.
