An international project bringing together a Polish group known for its intense, euphoric live performances and Burkinabè multi-instrumentalist Noums Dembele. Together, they create a tropical-industrial blend in which the avant-garde meets dance music, advanced electronics collide with the frenetic playing of a live rhythm section, and contemporary sound intersects with the musical traditions of West Africa.

At the heart of the project is the kora — a harp closely associated with the Mandinka tradition — which Dembele plays alongside percussion instruments and voice. He began his musical journey at the age of three, when he first took up the ngoni, and today works both with groups performing African music, such as Faso Tamala and Moribaya, and with experimental projects, including Raphael Rogiński’s Hizbut Jamm.

The collaboration develops the direction established by the Spectra series, which ||ALA|MEDA|| have been pursuing since 2022. Gqom, free jazz, UK bass, krautrock, IDM, post-industrial music and batida are combined here into a shifting, multilayered whole. The project moves beyond the conventions of world music: tradition and modernity function as equal creative forces, while the cross-cultural encounter becomes a genuine dialogue — music for both the body and the imagination.
