GbClifford is a Prague-based music project that straddles the boundaries of noise, emo, and experimental sound collage. Here, noisy guitars blend with electronics, samples, and processed vocals to create music that is deliberately unstable and emotionally raw. The project itself describes its practice as a space for expressing unfulfilled desires, coming to terms with one’s own wounds, and confronting one’s current “self,” and its music as a tool for empathy.

At the heart of GbClifford’s work lie emotional fragility, the need for belonging, and the experience of trauma. However, this personal perspective is not confined to the format of an intimate diary: what matters is the ability to share experiences with others and to build, through music, a space for shared experience. In this context, a concert becomes more than just a performance of material—GbClifford treats some of their shows as theatrical performances, based on the tension between the performer and the audience and their mutual reactions.

Since his 2023 debut, *Kingdom*, the project has been developing its own language, navigating between the rawness of noise, the emotionality of emo, and the fragmentary logic of sound collage. In 2025, GbClifford was among the artists selected for the final edition of the European platform SHAPE+, which focuses on innovative music and interdisciplinary art.
