Grischa Lichtenberger and Qba Janicki form a duo working at the intersection of digital precision and improvised expression. Their music unfolds between programmed structures and spontaneous action, combining experimental club music, electroacoustic practices and contemporary sound art.

Using digital and analogue electronics, amplified acoustic instruments, mechanical interfaces and feedback systems, they build dense layers of rhythm and texture that constantly shift between control and chance. Their collaboration does not seek to unify their distinct artistic languages — instead, it is based on a dialogue in which each musician’s individual approach remains clearly audible.

Their sound carries echoes of angular post-punk, the rhythmic fragmentation of abstract hip-hop and the concentration associated with contemporary jazz. Ultimately, however, the duo create a distinctive space that resists easy classification: full of subtle tensions, dynamic shifts and an exceptional sensitivity to sonic detail.
