PLF is a trio formed by Peter Kutin, Lukas König and Elvin Brandhi, operating at the intersection of post-punk, free improvisation and post-digital experimentation. The musicians push their individual sounds to the point of overload, where sound becomes almost a scream, a direct, unfiltered form of expression unconstrained by logic, language or conventional harmonic structures.

Peter Kutin performs on self-built instruments based on light and sound feedback, controlling an array of synthesisers. Lukas König combines drums and electronics to create dense, fractured and rapidly shifting rhythmic patterns, while Elvin Brandhi cuts through them with an improvised stream of voice — raw, physical and unpredictable. Their concerts are intense collisions of sound and light, created without backing tracks or safety nets, making each performance a unique event.

Rooted in the ethos of free jazz and DIY culture, PLF’s music ultimately forms a category of its own, a kind of stroboscopic improvisation that is brutal, precise and charged with uncontrolled energy. In 2025, the band released its third album, SCREAMERZ, further developing its radical fusion of post-punk and post-digital aesthetics.
