MQN was founded at 2011 in Minsk, Belarus as free-improv trio: drums, modular synth’s and saxophone, vocals. Fourth participant Sinye Gory joined in 2014 with bass and guitars.
Fifth participant Applepicker with bass, joined in 2018.
The band performed at different venues, festivals in different countries, the debut took place at DACH Festival at KunstHaus Tacheles (not exist now), Berlin.
The band takes an arbitrary approach to composition and line-up, often performing with random musicians, in accidental places without any preparations.
The band’s focus is on improvisation and live performances.
It’s a wild mix of free-jazz, noise-rock, improvisation, electronics.
