The bold ideas of the leader are executed by a band composed of artists who can be described as the crème de la crème of improvisers in this part of Europe. Since the release of their phonographic debut, the octet has been hailed as Poland’s flagship band, a status confirmed by the rankings summarizing 2022. Notably, in the Jazz Forum magazine critics’ poll, the double album “Polish Composers of the 20th Century” was awarded Album of the Year, and Marek Pospieszalski won in the most prestigious category, Musician of the Year.
