Beam Splitter is a project-dialogue, a play between two experienced musicians who respond to each other’s steps to create a whole new musical language live. During their performances, Audrey Chen, an American artist of Chinese origin, creates sonic poetry by using an instrumental approach to her vocals and processing them through analogue synthesisers – her sounds are answered by Henrik Munkeby Nørstebø, a Norwegian trombonist and electronic musician who moves mainly in the field of conceptual music on a daily basis. The duo has already played more than two hundred concerts around the world and released three albums of live improvisations.
