Drummer and percussionist Valentina Magaletti constantly experiments with new materials and sounds, seeks new methods and techniques, and is not limited to her instruments, making her work ever-evolving and alive. She moves effortlessly between genres and styles and has performed and recorded with artists such as Thurstoon Moore, Nicolas Jaar, Jandek, Helm, Tightpaul Sandra (Coil, Spiritualized). She co-founded the electronic duo Tomaga and is known for her trio The Vanishing Twin. In her solo work, she focuses on creating multi-layered and rich textures and seeks further possibilities to extract sound from her instrument.
