MoE, an experimental band from Oslo, Norway that has been constantly pushing the boundaries of music since its inception in 2008. Inspired by legendary crossover rock bands such as Pink Floyd, Sonic Youth and Swans, MoE creates an ever-changing universe of unexpected sounds, combining rock, noise, performance and spoken word.
Their dark and heavy guitar landscape, combined with dynamic vocals, creates a unique blend similar to Swans and Diamanda Galás. With more than thirty countries and four continents to their credit, MoE’s relentless activity has resulted in an exhibition at Norway’s Rock Museum, Rockheim, titled “For the Love of Chaos,” running through September 2023. Lead composer, bassist and vocalist, Guro Skumsnes Moe, is one of the most influential figures in the Norwegian music scene. Her direct approach to creating physical sounds with her bass and voice has brought her worldwide recognition.
