Kaszel (PL)
Kaszel arose somewhere between the second and fourth waves of coronavirus. The beginning of the team’s story was a lung infection. Everyone was sick. The cough was so intense that the band of four musicians decided to record it with their phones. They then processed the recording through guitar pickups and effects, and the resulting cough loops became the concept for the band.
Kaszel creates psychedelic musical landscapes based on cell phone recordings. Kaszel is a young project, but it’s co-founded by old exemplars of Wroclaw’s alternative scene, associated with such bands as Slina, Młyn, Torteks and Kapela Timingeriu, as well as the recently formed Wroclaw Improvised Orchestra.
