Halny: Jacek Sienkiewicz & Lukáš Jiřička (PL/CZ)
Halny presents the literary legacy of a figure of Polish modernism – Tadeusz Miciński. The composition will balance between contemporary abstract electronica, classical music with elements of folk music from the Polish-Slovakian borderland and death metal. Actors Mirosław Zbrojewicz and Klara Bielawka will lend their voices, as will two vocalists Antoni Beksiak (voice improviser) and Tomáš Mitura (Czech singer of the death metal band Sněť and the punk band Vole, who is also an acclaimed painter of the younger generation). This is a very eclectic group of performers who are able to master a wide range of approaches to both voice and body gesture.
Performans Halny is the final part of a free trilogy that Czech director Lukáš Jiřička has been working on with Jacek Sienkiewicz since 2017.
