The forms and shapes of Eivind Vullum’s compositions reflect his years of experience with sound design, which has a strong influence on the dynamics and narrative elements of his music. Following his ambient solo debut ‘Ohms Love’ (HMD Records 2022), the Norwegian musician began collaborating with Polish saxophonist and composer Jerzy Maczynski ((Polish Jazz, Yeyeh, UHF, Jerry & The Pelican System) and Swiss drummer Nicolas Stocker (KALI Trio, Nik Bärtsch ‘Mobile’, Maarja Nuut). It is with this line-up that Vullum’s latest compositions will be presented to the audience at the festival – along with hypnotic, abstract visuals created live by Katarzyna Debska (CTM-Festival, Affluenza, PL, South Explorer Festival).

Thanks to his collaborations with Maczynski and Stocker, Vullum’s music takes on more rhythmic, but also more improvisatory and experimental values. Elements of free jazz, harmonic ambient or orchestral drone are added to his characteristic cinematic landscapes.
