4. edition of Avant Art Festival 2022 Berlin

Since 2008, the Avant Art Festival has been inviting artists creating world trends in independent music, noise and experimental electronica to Poland. For the past six years, the festival has also been held in Warsaw, and for the past four years in Berlin, presenting both pioneers and legends of experimental music, as well as niche artists. We consistently proceed from the assumption that all aesthetics are equal, any transgression of tradition or departure from canonicity is welcome, and attempts to combine different visions and genres are expected. For us, innovative realizations are seamlessly combined with the expansion of the festival’s activities, territorial expansion and the complete abandonment of programmatic limitations.

The issue we explore every year is being BETWEEN – not just artistically. Avant Art Festival is a project of two cities, two editions, carried out in a dozen iconic or rediscovered locations. Programmatically and conceptually, we are between the idea developed in previous editions and the consequence of the development of the festival, invariably taking as its main task the broadest possible presentation of music, experimental and avant-garde art.
