14th edition WROCŁAW // 20-25.09.2021

At the end of September, we invite you to another, 14th edition of Avant Art Festival, which returns to the idea of a festival “about music”, i.e. a review of the most interesting and original, in the opinion of the festival curators, artistic phenomena in which MUSIC plays the leading role. As last year, the organizers decided to support mainly Polish artists, although there will also be stars of experimental music from New York, Zurich, Berlin or representatives of the cult record label Nyege Nyege Tape. The festival programme includes a premiere performance by the band Siksa and an exhibition by the Church of Nihilists collective from Wrocław. From musical projects – well-known Polish projects of experimental music and avant-garde electronics, e.g. the trio Jacaszek/Podpora/Kohyt, T’ien Lai, and very talented Polish composers – Aleksandra Słyż and Teoniki Rożynek. Plus concerts by this year’s Avant stars Pan Daijing and Kenyan noise duo DUMA. Fans of hip-hop music will appreciate concerts by Prison Religion from the USA, and Ambro Fiszoski. This year’s edition will end with a concert of one of the biggest stars of world post-jazz, that is The End quartet of Mats Gustafsson.
