5th edition WARSAW // 27.09-2.10.2021
At the turn of September and October we invite you to another, already the 5th, edition of Avant Art Festival, which returns to the idea of a festival “about music”, i.e. a review of the most interesting and original, in the opinion of the festival curators, artistic phenomena in which MUSIC plays the leading role. Just like last year, the organizers decided to support mainly Polish artists, although there will also be stars of experimental music from New York, Zurich, Berlin or representatives of the cult record label Nyege Nyege Tape. The festival programme includes an exhibition by the Church of Nihilists collective from Wrocław. From musical projects – well-known Polish and foreign projects of experimental music and avant-garde electronics, e.g. Beatrice Dillon, Rosa Anschütz, Dominik Strycharski’s latest project PLANTAE CARNIVORAE: Strycharski & Drazkov or the concert of Audrey Chen & Henrik Munkeby Nørstebø. Plus this year’s Avant stars Pan Daijing and Kenyan noise duo DUMA. Hip-hop music fans will surely appreciate the concerts of xDZVØNx, and the American duo Prison Religion.

The concerts The end and BEAM SPLITTER: Audrey Chen & Henrik Munkeby Nørstebø (US/NO) are a preview of the project “In between: Norway and Poland – Culture”, implemented by Avant Art Foundation in 2021 – 2023 in Poland and Norway, funded by the EEA under Action 2. “Improving access to culture and the arts”.
