Broken Heart Collector – vocal artist and bass flutist Maja Osojnik, bass clarinetist Susanna Gartmayer & a band called Bulbul – is a formation of musicians who are anchored in the Vienna improvised music scene at the intersection of hardcore, avant-rock and experimental vocals and sounds. It is a very eclectic and highly fascinating music. Elegant, artful, hauntingly emotional, as well as rough, industrial, brutal and cynical. Chanson styled songs meet with experimental music and Noise-Rock. You can expect everything fron them – from strictly reduced passages to excessive shamanic space-trips with field recordings, recalling the works of Red Krayola and Moondog’s communication with the metropolis. Five strange creatures dedicated to the new challenge of shifting the frontiers of jazz, free improv, chanson, industrial noise landscapes, and a sense for perfectly tight rock adventures.
